I wrote to John off-line, but I think the problem may be that there are MS-DOS cr/lf characters in the code. This normally doesn't cause a problem, but #defines that span multiple lines can't handle it. I've asked John to take a look at a hex dump to see if the files contain 0d 0a at the end of lines.
