Hi! I am using KInternet do dial-up over an analogous 56k modem (Suse 9.1). Is there a way to keep record of my total on-line time? I want to avoid getting another surprise when my next phone bill arrives. Regards, Casco
Have you looked at the /var/log/message file? You should find in that file a message whenever the dial-up line disconnects such as: pppd[xxxx] Connect time 366.3 minutes. Should be fairly easy to write a script to extract and add up the minutes. Someone else may have an easier solution. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
