I'd try reseating both IDE and power cables to the drive and see if that was the problem. If you have a spare IDE cable try that. If that doesn't change anything, then run the manufacturer's drive diagnostics and check the drive's warranty status. Could be your power supply has lost some of its vigor. Double check the BIOS settings for that drive or have the BIOS auto-detect it again. Definitely a problem with the drive... Stan
