If you have kernel-sources installed, you have a file called /usr/src/linux/Documentation/devices.txt
If you look through that, and search for sr0, you will find it's a block device, major 11 minor 0. If you look in the file I'm sure you'll see how it's organised.
Then, "mknod /dev/sr0 b 11 0" will recreate it.
