I have problems with spamd children dying on me. Right now, I have 8 emails stuck in the line. The processes are dead:

now comes the problems

does /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/Mail/SpamAssassin/SpamdForkScaling.pm exist? try adding "-L" for a time to see if network lookups are timing out.
