Absolutely no criticism of Tim intended here, (he only asked) but there now seem to be a good number of posts on the 'where on earth is 7.1?' theme - does everyone remember the same with the appearance of the last version or two - weeks of 'why on earth can't those guys at International Rescue / SuSE get a move on? Don't they know people are dying here?', followed by weeks of 'what on earth did they rush the distribution out in this unseemly hurry for? It wasn't ready, they should have waited much longer!'
I agree! With the new kernel, XFree4 and the new KDE, plus no end of other new stuff which might effect the central running of the system (I'm thinking about the new version of Perl, etc) 7.1 has the potential to screw up big time. Let SuSE test it, test it then test it again. Anyone who wants stuff sooner than SuSE can manage are perfectly welcome to "use the source".
