nut-driver is started automatically, but not nut-monitor. Didn't somebody say earlier that nut-monitor also had to be started, just like nut-driver? Presumably once enabled and started they'll restart after boot.

You do NOT need nut-monitor. That is for monitoring additional peripherals attached to a nut server, e.g. NUT-Monitor is a graphical user interface to monitor and manage devices connected to the Network UPS Tools server. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
