Well, What this means is you just became a software packager :). It is a shame, that in the minds of some, (old software == bad software), but just as PI hasn't changed this past decade -- but it is still useful, the same applies to software... The issue becomes "does it still build?". If yes, not an issue, package usually hangs around. If no, and it hasn't been updated by the developer in years, and nobody is advocating for it, then it will likely be kicked. That's where you come in with your openSUSE buildservice account. You take on the role of building it, and if you fix the issue, you can suggest that the package be put back in place (no guarantees it will, but openSUSE devs are usually reasonable about such things) So, If you need it, I would suggest you grab the last source-rpm for it and install rpmbuild and see if it still builds (with rpmbuild --rebuild name.src.rpm), if not -- you know where to start. -- David C.
