"Carlos E. R."
I'm trying to search for a newer smartmontools package than the official one for Leap, as the current one has problems with one of my disks. So I use the Firefox search thing for openSUSE packages, and it takes me to a changed search page.
First URL is:
https://software.opensuse.org/package/smartmontools?search_term=smartmontool...
Clicking on community packages for 15 one, I see a few, so on the line for " home:plater" I click on "expert download". This takes me to a confusing page:
When I click on that link and go to that page, I don't see anything about community packages unless I first click on the light grey link that won't let me select the text. Is that what you did but omitted to report? Does '15 one' mean 15.1? If so, why not say that and avoid the ambiguity?
https://software.opensuse.org/download/package?package=smartmontools&project=home%3Aplater
but apparently it is asking to select openSUSE or SLE (what, doesn't it already know from the preceding page?). More confusion,
Not as confused as I am trying to follow your partial report!
and I click on "Add repository and install manually".
Did you select 15.1 first or not? I did and it immediately tries to download smartmontools.ymp If I cancel that and then (and only then) it...
This opens a list for all distributions, and I find this paragraph:
For Leap 15.1 run the following as root:
zypper addrepo https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:plater/Leap_15.1/home:plater... zypper refresh zypper install smartmontools
So I do:
I have no intention of downloading anything so I crop the URL to the directory level and display it in my browser. i.e. https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/plater/Leap_15.1/ It's then pretty clear what's going on, I think.

As you see, it fails, invalid URL for a repo. The correct URL for 15.1 is:
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:plater/Leap_15.1/
Now, where can one report this error?
