OK, Patrick, and others, let me take one last stab at this. First, Schultz said:
Please learn not hijack existing threads. Using your mailer's Reply function (for the convenience of getting the To: address filled in for you) followed by complete replacement of the Subject: is _not_ the way to start a new topic. Use your mailer's "new message" command.
I guess I don't fully understand that one. The message that I get back looks clean to me. No previous message content, a new message subject, opensuse list address. I can tell no difference here between that and a new message, so not sure what the problem is, unless it is because I do not look at the full header and do not see something that maybe someone's email uses to sort threads. I'll take that under advisement. Then you said:
Randall is *not* the only one concerned with your inconsideration and general disregard for this list's accepted standards.
I'm not sure exactly what those are, since I read the posts that flow through here and don't see a lot of "accepted standards", other than bottom posting seems to predominate.
But, judging from your reply, you will probably continue to do as you d... well please, as m$ does.
Not sure where the venom is coming from on that one, either. I have a computer problem, I normally run opensuse but one of my boxes runs FC6. The type of problem that I ran into is not unusual in that sometimes upgrades break things. Open GL is used in most, if not all, Linux variants and the process by which Smart does it's thing is also relevant to opensuse, so that, plus the fact that those on this list tend to be more knowledgeable, is why I posed my question here.
