Hello SuSE people, Just installed 9.2 on my brand new AMD 64 system. Installed like a dream come true. (no dual layer DVD problems) Then restored all of my old 8.2 /home and /data stuff without any serious (but sometimes problematic issues) with Kdar. This system FLIES !!! Open Office and The Gimp open in less than 10 seconds. Konqueror, Kmail, & Firefox open almost immediately. I am a very happy 9.2 user! Now, for the question - Figured I would do the YOU update. (Never did one before since SuSE 6.or 7. or whenever it was available) Always used Apt. (and will again for package updates) (The 9.1 64 bit of Apt won't install - yet ) Connected to the server and there was a huge list of update patches. (Many megabytes) Some are red, some are blue, and some are black. All have checkmarks next to them to be updated? Question is, what am I looking at? Do they all need to be updated ? (excluding, of course packages that I don't need or want) Looking for a little guidance here. Bob S.
