installing windows

I'm aiming to develop some applets or standalones with java; and make sure they will work on a windoze system. Is there anyway to be sure without using windows? wine maybe? If not, i'll install windoze on a partition. What are the problems i might have? What's the best way for partitioning? Should i create a fat partition with Yast, or leave it unpartitioned? I guess it will remove grub from mbr; so i'll launch suse using the bootable first cd, and what must i do to re-configure grub to make it available to boot both windows & suse? Am i supposed to have more problems? Thanks,
