I am trying to setup Apache2 on a SuSE 10 box to use SSL, but I am not having any luck.
I have searched for useful documentation, but the instructions that I tried, does not seem to work.
I can create a certificate and install it, but then when Apache starts up, it askes for a password and then disables SSL support.
Any documentation for Dummies? (Emphasis on Dummy)
Did you read: /usr/share/doc/packages/apache2/README.QUICKSTART.SSL ? I'm working on this as well, it's hard to tell what to do on suse exactly,as they split up the httpd.conf in many different pieces to make it modular. Which is good of course... But now wat do we need to change? Is it /etc/apache2/ssl-global.conf, /etc/apache2/listen.conf copy /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/vhost-ssl.template to ??? to obtain a secure (443) vhost?
