Hi We tried the network install but it does not work: it will not connect to our wifi. We tried dhcp and manual and checked the password and even looked up what ESSID meant. Does your wifi network interface work, i.e. are the drivers loaded etc? DO you have the wlan0 device? I have seen cases where the wifi interface chip simply wasn't supported by the installation system.
Hi Yes. It worked with 13.2 and via the DVD.
13.2 isn't necessarily relevant, but if it worked via the DVD, it should work with the network install too.
It should work after the installation of firmware. Its a common problem, not just limited to Opensuse, that the Live DVDs work, but an install won't because the firmware needs to be installed but isn't because of licensing issues. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
