Since you need to get to 15.1 soon anyway, you have a chance to get the resolver to fully resolve instead of leaving conflicts. Quite simply:
1: disable or remove *all* optional repos 2: zypper dup 3: confirm success, rebooting or restarting X if necessary 4: change all of /etc/zypp/repos.d/*.repo from 15.0 to 15.1 5: zypper dup 6: confirm success by rebooting with new kernel 7: add back/reenable optional repos that you still require in 15.1, one at a time 8: confirm success, restarting X if necessary 9: if another optional remains to be done, goto 7
And that's what borked a few of my packages. You recall I said that I, correctly, 'zypper dup' before changes repos 42.3 -> 15.0. Well that upgraded TBird from the Mozilla repo to 68.2.2 if you check out the Mozillla TBird page you'll note that it mentions problems with the 68 family were you can't regress without loosing all your accounts and having to reinstall. Well I did 'zypper up' after the change in repos numbers, and as you guys pointed out that was a mistake, and I repaired it by, later' doing the 'dup'. Which borked my Thunderbird. You might have noticed that I wasn't communicating for a day. My Tbird was borked. I only had my GMail on my phone :-( Yes, the 15.0 and 15.1 numbering went backwards from the 42.3 No 68.2.2 available, only the 68.1 series. And that included the Mozilla repo. The RPMFIND site had 68.2.2 for magia and FC but I'm not touching those! So I've reset the Mozilla repo to 42.3 and got my 68.2.2 back in place of 15.0's 68.1.1 and pulled by the accounts I was using. -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
