Re: newbie help wanted for installing java on suse 9

Hi, I'm a bit new to linux and to SuSE (home user) and I try to install java by executing the file 'j2re-1_4_2_04-linux-i586.bin' which I downloaded from www.java.com. I have now a directory /usr/local/java/j2re1.4.2_04. How do I get from there to java working under Konqueror ? Also in the end I want to run LimeWire.
