Your libSDL comes from third-party repository, not from openSUSE. Solver by default does not switch vendor so it cannot silently replace installed packages with version from openSUSE.
Ah, yes, I see.
I cannot reproduce it. If I install just libSDL from games, patch is not applicable (which is sort of what I expected). And there is no more libSDL-devel in games (it was renamed to simply SDL-devel). And your output shows conflict with libSDL-devel.
Yes, I observed the same thing you say. I suppose it was installed at some point, then it disappeared from the repo - but not long ago, because I checked for on orphans the previous update.
OK, so it could be that solver does something differently for orphan package. If you did not yet update, I would suggest generating solver debug (zypper patch --debug-solver) and opening bug report.
Sorry, I did already update. I chose the first option, "install".
But you see, the moment that YaST pops the message, it is impossible to investigate in YaST anything. The message is "modal". One has to make a choice, it is not possible to say "ask me later" and have a look around for more information.
That is for another bug report ...
I even could not see the complete message, because it was wider than the screen and did not wrap. I had to dump it to a file in order to read it.
And the third one :)
Wow. Well, I have the logs... :-? -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.3 x86_64 at Telcontar)
