Hi,
While I set up sound in YaST, I have sound. I get sound from VLC that is playing. But when yast finishes configuring sound, then sounds stops, nothing can be heard.
In fact, the volume applet has a [X] symbol, and right click pops up a message that says:
gstreamer was unable to detect any sound devices. Some sound system specific GStreamer packages may be missing. It may also be a permissions problem
Yet, as I say, as soon as I tell yast to configure sound, it plays fine. When it exits, sounds stops.
Hardware is 82801 (ICH9 Family) HD Audio controller. It works find in oS 13.1
