First paragraph on the french wiki main page sound a bit weird.
Proposed corrections: OpenSUSE est un programme communautaire mondial, sponsorisé par [http://www.novell.com Novell], pour donner à tous et chacun un accès facile et gratuit à SUSE Linux. Ici, sur openSUSE.org, vous trouverez une communauté de développeurs et d'utilisateurs qui ont le même but en tête : faire de SUSE la meilleure distribution Linux au monde.
the only difference I see is that you add this: "à tous et" (à chacun) I don't really see what is added by this. SUSE Linux is used by people, so "chacun" is the translation of the "anyone" english word. I agree the whole phrase could be smoother :-) but the problem is on the english side, I already simplified a bit the text - the original one is still available in http://fr.opensuse.org/Vue_d'ensemble_du_projet (and I think most readers did not read all this stuff :-) I would be glad to find a whole better wording for the front page, but it would be probably better to follow up to the french list thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos
I agree with jdd, "chacun" is already the translation of "anyone" no need to add "à tous" it just makes the sentence heavier. Cheers Fabrice On 5/13/06, jdd <jdd@dodin.org> wrote:
