une fois le disque passé en usb ca marche en 4 coups de cuillères à pot : Le bios ne voit pas plus mais en usb le disque est bien reconnu, il apparait même super vite :

Je pense que ca doit encore rester du matériel exotique le e-sata mais quand même vu la différence de vitesse avec l'usb c'est bien dommage.
En fait le truc, c'est le coup du bios. J'ai ici des disques ( et adaptateur e-sata ) qui ne sont reconnus que si le disque est branché au démarrage de la machine et que je *ç%&X de chipset jmicron le trouve lors du boot. Après opensuse marche bien avec. dans mon cas le pb vient souvent de la mise en veille du disque, et le e-sata le trouve plus après ( gros cafouillage ). Le même adaptateur en usb marche super bien, même avec la mise en veille. je me suis résolu à l'utiliser comme cela, préfère lentement et sûrement que de scratcher les backups externes qui sont en plus sur du fs crypté ! Un disque externe type mybook western avec 2x1to dedans marchait bien chez un copain. le fameux adaptateur marche toujours nickel chrome lorsqu'il est branché sur un portable équiper e-sata.
