En efecto.
En concreto me refiero a esto:

As upstream has discontinued HAL we also will move away from it, so the totally fresh keyboard/mouse detection in 11.2 will likely be replaced by a new one in 11.3 again.
Not sure about the versions.

I recently visited the x.org websites and saw that X11R7.5 (a.k.a. X.org server 1.7) has been available for a while now as a stable release. In Factory as well as OBS, I still see R7.4 though. Are there plans to upgrade X.org to that newer release in Factory? I would have guessed that with all the buzz about KMS and phasing out sax2 that an upgrade of X.org was in the works, but I couldn't find stuff to test there...
While we are at it: If/when 1.7 is going in, many people who are using 1.6.x right now are in for a surprise: The dpi behaviour is changed back to the old (pre xrandr) behaviour where everything is seen as 96 dpi and any different value needs to be given *as a command line argument* to the xserver. It seems that there is no xorg.conf parameter to achieve this and there also is no way to get back to the 1.6 behaviour at all (i.e. pick the dpi value from xrandr). This is intentional although I fail to understand the arguments. Please see http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23705 for details. ++-··········
Otro asunto: grub 2. Piden voluntarios para probarlo.
Otro más: los scripts de inicio, a otro sistema, upstart. No se exactamente que es.

Hi,
I submitted a new package to openSUSE:Factory: upstart. Mainly because of https://features.opensuse.org/305690 - the biggest gain of having it is clearly that everyone else has it, it doesn't get openSUSE a win right away. But not having it, may become a disadventage shortly - who knows.
For now we will support sysvinit and upstart as alternatives, but my preference would be not for long. The package I submitted is pretty much only a start and adopting our scripts to upstart will be less of a pain if we do not have to support alternatives. ++-··········

Moin,
last week I sat together with coolo, henne and Klaas and made up our thoughts for openSUSE 11.3. Here's how we see openSUSE 11.3. We're looking forward receiving your feedback. Voting in openFATE is appreciated as well ;-)
Best M
