There are no blacklisted modem drivers in /etc/modprobe* files
USB modem not detected by lsusb
Several modems are supported by drivers with ALSA, the Advanced Linux
Sound Architecture software.

Con minicom utilizo el ttyS0 para conectarme por Serial a equipos ya que esta Lap tiene un puerto I0I0I, ¿quiere decir que no ha reconocido el modem?

Pues ahí lo tienes, en SuSE está accesible en ttyS0.
