Apple Netzdrucker und Linux (Netatalk) und Win
Hallo, ich habe mal ein paar grundsaetzliche Fragen zum Thema Drucker: Ich habe einen Appletalk ( oder so ) Drucker, den ich nur von dem Appels ansprechen kann. Die PC's sehen den Netzwerkdrucker logischerweise nicht. Ist es moeglich mit Netatalk unter Linux den AppleLaserwriter zú mounten und dann als SMB Drucker den Windowsrechnern zur Verfuegung zu stellen ?? Waere das auch umgekehrt moeglich, dh ich habe einen Windows-Netz-drucker und mounte Ihn unter Linux ( mit Samba ?? ) und stelle Ihn via Netatalk den Apples zur Verfuegung ? Das müßte eigentlich gehen. Da gibt es ein HowTo unter http://thehamptons.com (wenn ich mich recht entsinne;-). Ich würde allerdings den Drucker an die Linuxkiste hängen, ihn dann mit netatalk für die Macs und mit samba für Die WinDOSen freigeben. Das hat dann den Vorteil, daß alle Clients (Mac + Win) den Linux-Server als Spooler benutzen. Andersherum, wenn Du den Drucker am Mac beläßt, spoolen die WinDOSen auf den Linux-Server, der dann auf den Drucker-Mac spoolt... Oder hängt der Drucker selbst im Netz? Waere das auch umgekehrt moeglich, dh ich habe einen Windows-Netz-drucker und mounte Ihn unter Linux ( mit Samba ?? ) und stelle Ihn via Netatalk den Apples zur Verfuegung ?
