KDE4 Compositing kann nicht aktiviert werden
Hallo, ich habe auf meinem System openSuse 11.1 mit KDE4 installiert. Ich möchte jetzt die Compositing Funktion von KWin nutzen. Leider ist dies nicht möglich. Hier ein paar Infos zu meinem System:
DELL Latidude D600 Intel Pentium M 1.4 GHz 512MB Ram ATI Mobility Radeon 9000
Ich bekomme folgende Fehlermeldung, wenn ich versuche es über die Arbeitsflächeneinstellungen zu aktivieren:
Aktivierung der Arbeitsflächeneffekte mit den aktuellen Einrichtungsoptionen fehlgeschlagen. Die Einstellungen werden auf ihre vorherigen Werten zurückgesetzt.
Überprüfen Sie Ihre X-Konfiguration. Sie sollten es auch in Erwägung ziehen, die erweiterten Optionen, besonders den Compositing-Typ, zu ändern.

Ich habe, bevor ich openSuse 11.1 installiert habe, das Ubuntu 8.10 Livesystem gestart. Dort waren Composite Effekte mit Compiz möglich und das ruckelfrei. Ich nutze den freien radeon Treiber. Hat jemand eine Idee woran es liegen könnte? Ich nutze den freien radeon Treiber.
Hat jemand eine Idee woran es liegen könnte? Es kommt darauf an was für Effekte eingeschaltet sind. Manche funktionieren nur mit 3D. So wie es aussieht hast du kein 3D-Treiber. Viele Grüße, Heinz Dittmar

Es schaut für mich so aus, als ob der freie radeon Treiber 3D Untersützung bietet. Warum sollte es sonst OpenGL laden? Unter Ubuntu hat er ja auch den radeon geladen und da funktionierten die Composite Effekte ja. Am Freitag, den 13.03.2009, 11:34 +0100 schrieb Heinz Dittmar:

Ich habe, bevor ich openSuse 11.1 installiert habe, das Ubuntu 8.10 Livesystem gestart. Dort waren Composite Effekte mit Compiz möglich und das ruckelfrei.
Ich nutze den freien radeon Treiber.
Hat jemand eine Idee woran es liegen könnte? Es kommt darauf an was für Effekte eingeschaltet sind. Manche funktionieren nur mit 3D. So wie es aussieht hast du kein 3D-Treiber. Hallo, probier mal in der ~/.kde4/share/config/kwinrc im Abschnitt "[Compositing]" die Zeile hinzuzufügen / zu ändern: DisableChecks=true Enabled=true Dann "kwin --replace". Bei mir ist die Prüfung auch der Meinung, dass ich keine 3D-Unterstützung habe, diese funktioniert aber wunderbar. PS: Ein Sicherung der kwinrc ist ratsam, falls du nach dem neustart von kwin nicht mehr siehst. Viel Erfolg beim probieren, Felix

Das Glück hatte ich leider nicht. Bei mir bleibt der Bildschirm schwarz. Die einzigste Möglichkeit die ich noch sehe, ist die proprietären Treiber zu installiern. Es schaut für mich so aus, als ob der freie radeon Treiber 3D Untersützung bietet. Ich verwende eine ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 und da passiert es auch ohne 3D, dass ich plötzlich keinen normalen Mauscurser mehr habe, oder wenn ich nach init 3 wechsle nur noch Wirrwarr auf dem Bildschirm habe. Darum verwende ich den ATI-Treiber. Der kann aber von Haus aus für meine Karte kein 3D. Warum sollte es sonst OpenGL laden? Unter Ubuntu hat er ja auch den radeon geladen und da funktionierten die Composite Effekte ja. Manche Effekte funktionieren bei mir aber trotzdem, Stabilität lasse ich einmal dahingestellt. es kommt eben darauf an, ob dazu 3D benötigt wird oder nicht. Auf jeden Fall ist es bei mir so, dass ich keinen alternativen fglrx Treiber habe, wo funktioniert. Viele Grüße, Heinz Dittmar
