Hallo! Uns ist ja allen bekannt, daß PC-Hardware (die von IBM-kompatiblen) meist nicht gerade von hervorragender Qualität ist. Dazu gehören auch einige Probleme, die die Datumsumsstellung nach dem Jahr 1999 betreffen. Folgende Problemstellung gibt es: Verschiedene Bauteile in einem IBM-komp. sind kritische Komponenten bei der Jahresumstellung - vielleicht kann mir jemand beantworten was man unter LinuX dagegen machen kann. (Vielleicht wäre eine Info von SuSE angebracht) BIOS RTC (Real Time Clock) OS (LinuX) betriebssystemnahe Software Anwendungen Gerade die zwei ersten Punkte sollten bei der meist älteren unter LinuX eingesetzten hardware eine Rolle spielen (Hier gilt übrigens alles als älter, was vor Mitte 1997 in die Regale gekommen ist!) Vielleicht wäre es nicht unklug eine Liste von Hardware und die passenden Korrekturmöglichkeiten anzugeben. Wie? Fuer alle Hardware-Bauteile aus den vergangen 5 Jahren? In allen erdenklichen Kombinationen?

Ja, und die sind im vergangenen Jahr auch schon in (nahezu) allen einschlaegigen Fachmagazinen vorgestellt worden.
