Geschafft! Drucken via Novell Server 3.12 aber...

Ja, die Ursache ist die unterschiedliche Behandlung eines Zeilenendes in UNIX bzw. DOS/PC. Während in der PC-Welt mit einer Kombination CHR(10)+CHR(13) gearbeitet wird, benutzt UNIX nur CHR(10) (reiner Zeilenvorschub ohne Wagenrücklauf). Und das ist genau, das was Dein Ausdruck zeigt. Vermutlich steuerst Du den Drucker direkt mit nprint oder novell_print an. Dabei fällt natürlich die automatische Konvertierung unter den Tisch. Erstelle unter YAST einen Netzwerkdrucker an Novellserver und schau dann in die Datei /etc/apsfilterrc.lj3 (bei einem LaserJet III). Ganz am Anfang steht REMOTE_PRINTER="/usr/bin/novell_print -S server -U user -P passwort - printqueue -" oder so ähnlich. Ich hatte das Problem, daß die letzten zwei Zeichen, nicht immer korrekt von YAST eingestellt wurden. Diese sind aber absolut notwendig. Auf einen entsprechende Bug-Report habe ich bis heute keine Reaktion. Allerdings könnte es sein, daß dies in YAST 0.97.5 gefixt worden ist. Zu beachten ist weiterhin, daß für die Dauer eine User-Connection verbraten wird, ist der Novell-Server diesbezüglich ausgereizt, geht der Printjob nach /dev/null, keine Fehlermeldung.
