Hallo miteinander, leider komme ich nicht weiter und kann mir das Phänomen nicht erklären. Leider mußte ich auf einer weiteren Platte nochmals WIN95 einspielen. diese hängt am zweiten Port als Master. Die Platte wird auch vom Bios erkannt. Ich spielte nun das System ein. Allerdings hängte ich die Linuxplatte dafür weg, da Win95 gerne mal fremde MBR's beschreiben will. Nun trug ich unter Yast (SUSE 6.0) im Lilo das neue System ein. Leider bottet er das System nicht, sondern bringt die Meldung: "Kein gültiges Betriebssystem. Bitte wechseln sie den Datenträger" (Diskette ist nicht im Laufwerk und wurde auch im Bios abgeschaltet.) wo liegt mein Fehler?? Windoof will immer von der Master-Platte am ersten Controller booten. Kann daher sein, daß er die Windoof-Partition zum Booten nicht findet. Stell doch im LILO mal ein, daß er die beiden Laufwerk vertauscht. Dann sollte es gehen. Starte mal mit der Win95- Bootdisk und schau mal unter C:\ mit dir /a /p nach, ob die versteckte Datei msdos.sys vorhanden ist und welche Größe sie hat. Dein Fehler ist Win95 ;-) Im Ernst: Win95 kann nur von der ersten Platte gebootet werden, und da auch nur von einer aktiven primären Partition. Vorschlag: Zwack von der ersten Platte irgendwie 10-20MB für eine primäre Dosen-Partition ab, und gib dann als Installationsverzeichnis D:\irgendwas (also die zweite Platte an). in C: sind dann nur command.com, io.sys, msdos.sys, etc.. also da habe Ich andere erfahrung mit gemacht: lilo im mbr von hda; hda1 = winnt(ntfs); hda2 - hda4 = linux hdb1 = win98 (!) Vorgehensweise: Zu erst nur die win98 platte einbauen, und windoof instalieren. dannach die andere Platte zusätzlich einbauen winnt installieren (oder weg lassen). dann linux installieren, und den lilo in mbr installieren: dabei dann winnt und win98 als "dos/windows" angeben (bei nt soll auch os/2 klappen). Wenn dir win98 mal wieder kaputt geht, und neu installiert werden will, mußt du nur darauf achten, die erst (hda) Pestflatte abzuklemmen.
