Samba-Server und DATEV-Windows Software
Hallo liebe Linuxer, auf unseren Linux-Server können wir mit Windows98-Clients dank SAMBA auf alle Daten mit unterschiedlichsten Programmen zugreifen. Unser Steuerberater möchte nun eine DATEV-WINDOWS-Anwendung installieren und ist NICHT sicher, ob LINUX als Server-Software geeignet ist. Sein Softwarehaus schwört auf WINDOWS NT. Meine Frage: Sind Unverträglichkeiten zwischen DATEV-WINDOWS Software bekannt ? Hat jemand erfahren in diesem Bereich ? Hallo, was macht die DATEv-Software ? Wenn Sie nur dateien auf dem File-Server ablegt (z.B. *.Exe) oder nur die Druckerqueues des Servers benutzt, sollte die Datev-Software ohne Probleme auch hier laufen, sofern Samba korrekt eingerichtet ist. Installiert Sie hingegen Komponenten auf dem NT-Server, die auch dort ausgeführt werden (z.B. für Client-/Server-Betrieb), so hast Du möglicherweise ein Problem, bei dem Dir WINE weiterhelfen könnte. In diesem Fall würde ich Dir aber auf jeden Fall den Einsatz von NT empfehlen, weil dies garantiert weniger Kopfweh im produktiven Einsatz bedeutet. Die File/Print/Comm-Services können ja immer noch über Linux/Samba erledigt werden. mfg YA hajenol schrieb:

Ich habe bei einem Kumpel von mir (Kanzlei) einen Linuxserver mit Windowsclients installiert. Die betreiben dort auch Datev Zeugs.
