USB Ethernet Adapter + SuSE8.1
Hallo! Ich hab mir einen USB Ethernet Adapter von CMC gekauft. Auf der Unterseite steht UE-100. Unter Windows 2000 lief der Adapter mit einem Treiber aus dem Internet einwandfrei. Leider stand da nix von Linux. Dass er keinen passenden Treiber findet? Was ist dann mit "kaweth.c"? Was kann ich tun um das Ding zum laufen zu bewegen? Was heisst das alles? Dass er keinen passenden Treiber findet? Was ist dann mit "kaweth.c"? Was kann ich tun um das Ding zum laufen zu bewegen? Ich brauche den Adapter um eine Netzwerkkarte zu sparen, da das Board (VIA EPIA 800) nur einen hat (oder mit Riser Card 2).
Die Netzwerkkarte wurde durch den USB-Manger als eth2 in Dein System eingetragen. Allerdings ist in den Konfigurationsdateien für ifup noch keine Informationen über die Karte abgelegt worden. Für meinen USB-Netzwerkadapter habe ich einfach mit yast das Device eth2 angelegt (kein USB ankreuzen) und dann die IP-Adresse etc. vergeben. Und schon ging es ins Internet. ;-) Gruß Ole
