Hallo, ich habe nun schon einige Zeit mit dem installieren und testen des Hylafax-Servers und den Windows-Clients (Susefax und WFHC-Client) verbracht. Inzwischen habe ich noch folgende Probleme: Beim Faxen aus Windows-Anwendungen mit dem WFHC-Client und dem Apple Laserwriter 16/600 sind die Faxe nicht wirklich tauglich. Das bedeutet, daß einzelne Zeilen nur "gedrückt" dargestellt werden oder Wörter sehr undeutlich sind. Obwohl die hohe Auflösung eingestellt wurde. Woran konnte dies liegen? Nach dem Ändern der "config" im /var/spool/fax/etc werden plötzlich alle Faxe nur noch im halben Format gefaxt. In den Fax-Logdateien im Verzeichnis "../log" fiel mir als Änderung nur auf, daß plötzlich statt mit 7 line/mm mit 3,85 line/mm gearbeitet wird. In der Config-Datei habe ich aber nur die Country- und Areacodes geändert. Was mache ich falsch? Könnte das Ganze auch mit der Einstellung der Modems zu tun haben? Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, in der ".../fax/etc/hosts" statt den berechtigten Rechnernamen auch eine Domäne einzutragen? Wie kann man die Mails, die von der Software erzeugt werden, z.B. die Bestätigung für den ordentlichen Versand auch an einen anderen Mailserver weiterleiten? Der Faxserver hat die IP-Adresse 172.17.38.123, der Mailserver 172.17.38.124. DNS läuft lokal momentan noch keiner.Kann man mit Sendmail die Mails für Faxbenutzer durch automatisches Anhängen einer Domäne und unter Verwendung eines Alias-namens an den anderen Mailserver weiterleiten? HylaFax ist beim Modem extrm wählerisch. Eins das hier mit FaxWare 4 am Novell-Server einwandfrei läuft, war nicht zur Zusammenarbeit mit HylaFax zu bewegen. Den von Dir beschriebenen Effekt hatte ich mal bei einem NT-Faxprogramm. Nachdem der Handshake auf Xon/Xoff umgestellt war, lief es dann. Zwar irgendwie komisch, aber was solls. Vielleicht hilft Dir das ja.
