Hallo! Ich hab ein Problem. Ich hab einen Linux Suse 7.3 Rechner als Server an dem ein HP Deskjet 420 Drucker hängt. Ich hab ihn mit Samba freigegeben und hab auf meinem Win2000 Rechner den Drucker installiert. Das erste Problem ist das ich 3 Drucker zur Auswahl bekomme einmal lp2 das andere mal lp2-raw und das dritte was ich zu sehen bekomme ist lp2-ascii. Nun hab ich einige Dokus gewälzt und bin zum Schluss gekommen das der raw dafür da ist das der Text auf der Clientmaschiene da ist und vom Server nur weitergeleitet wird und der lp2 dafür da ist das der Text auf dem Server Formatiert wird. Also hab ich mit dem Win2000 Rechner den lp2-raw genommen und nen HP-dekjet 420 Treiber genommen. Geht nicht, die Druckerpatrone fährt in die Mitte und sagt Patrone leer. Dann hab ich den lp2 probiert und wie in der Anleitung mit einem Apple Laserwriter Treiber installiert (is glaub Postscript oder so) aber auf jedenfall gehts jetzt am Win2000 Client. Nun zu meinem anderen Win98 Client beim lp2 und HP Treiber is wieder das gleiche Problem mit der Tintenpatronenanzeige und wenn ich den lp2 nehm und nen Aplle Laserwriter Treiber dann druckt er zwar was aber das sieht so unformatiert aus so nämlich ungefähr: %%Titel: Angebot.xls %%Creator:PSCRIPT.DRV Version 4.0 . . . %%Documentation needed Fonts usw. Also eigendlich schon was ich geschickt hab mir kommts nur vor als ob er es ned formatieren kann. Das is Postscript. Das musst du durch lp2 jagen (also weder -raw noch -ascii). -dnh -- 130: Open Source Support Support heißt Scheiße fressen und lächeln, nicht zurückscheissen. Also lächle und lang zu (es ist noch genug für alle da) oder geh weg. (Kristian Köhntopp)

Also, wenn du postscript auf den ASCII Drucker schiebst, dann druckt der das PS halt auch als ASCII (also Text) und damit bekommst du logischerweise den PS-"Quellcode" auf's Papier. Loesung: s.o. -dnh --
Was willst Du denn "tunen"? Wahrscheinlich Platten tieferlegen, Prozessorspoiler montieren, die Leiterbahnen im DRAM aufbohren, einen verchromten Prozessorlüfter anbringen, Fuchsschwanz am PCI-Bus, einen Doppelvergaser auf der Grafikkarte installieren und einen Turbolader für die Netzwerkkarte installieren. Wie Dir David schon gesagt hat, ist das der PostScript-Code.

[lp2] [...] printable = Yes printer name = lp-ascii ^^^^^^^^ Vielleicht solltest Du das mal ändern ;-)
