ja, ich ;=) sogar 2 mal 1. Rechner: iP166, 64MB, IDE (HD, CDROM, CD-RW), mystique, bt848, NE2000 isa, crystal sound onboard -> Update von der 5.3 auf die 6.0 gemacht, ca. 1GB der pakete installiert, kernel neu kompiliert, windowmanager angepasst, laeuft. ohne probleme. benutz ich zum CD's erstellen die kiste, und zum surfen. achso, SO 5.0 lueppt da auch noch ;=) 2. Rechner: CyrixM2 200+, 48MB, IDE (HD, CDROM), SCSI (1542 isa, +HD), 3com 905b, ISDN... -> 6.0 from the scratch, der Rechner laeuft als FTP/WWW/Samba-Server und ISDN-Router. auch 00robs.

Jau! Ich habe Suse 6.0 seit zwei Wochen, die Installation war weder auf meinem PC (P200MMX,S3 Virge DX Graphikkarte, ESS-Sound), noch auf zwei verschiedenen Notebooks (Thinkpad 560X u. Network 1100 M) ein Problem. Auch Netzwerk incl. PCMCIA und ppp ging fast reibungslos.

KDE 1.1 (Snapshots) hat ein wenig genervt, geht aber nun auch. Wenn man die 79,-DM über hat, lohnt sich aus meiner Sicht auf jeden Fall ein Wechsel (glibc/XFree86 3.3.3/Kernel 2.0.36 und 2.1.131 ...). Ich habe jedoch neu installiert und kein Update gemacht, da ich zwischendurch RedHat 5.1 ausprobiert habe. Da ich Linux auch erst seit September kenne, aber schon viel rumprobiert und noch mehr versaut habe, einige revolutionäre Tips: 1. Hardware Manuals lesen und wichtigste Daten aufschreiben. 2. Eventuell unter DOS/W... ein gutes Hardware-Erkennungsprogramm starten. 3. Handbuch lesen! 4. Man-Pages/Docs etc ... etc ... etc ... 5. SuSE Mini-Faq befolgen ;-) Probleme sind bei mir immer nur dann aufgetaucht, wenn ich zu schnell und aus dem Gedächtnis heraus installiert und konfiguriert habe. Hi !! Also bei mir rennt die 6.0 jetzt seit 27.12 auf fünf Rechnern laufen. Ich habe zunächst von 5.3 auf 6.0 Beta und dann auf 6.0 geupdatet. Teils waren auch neuinstallationen dazwischen. Bisher habe ich noch keines der hier geschilderten Probleme festellen können. Falls es noch jemanden interesseiert was hier an Hardware mit der 6er läuft. 1 Rechner mit: ASUS P5A K6-2 350Mhz (CTX-Kern), 64MB, 10,1 GB IBM DTTA, ASUS 3000ZX (Riva128 ZX) 1 Rechner mit: ASUS P2B PII-350, 128MB, 10,1 GB IBM DDTA, ASUS 3400 (Riva TNT) 1 Rechner mit: ASUS P5A K6-2 400Mhz (CTX-Kern), 128 MB, ADAPTEC 2940UW, 2*4,3GB IBM DORS, ELSA ERAZOR II (Riva TNT) 1 Rechner mit ASUS SP97V K6-2 300Mhz (alter Kern), 128 MB, 8,4 GB IBM DEHA, 3,2 GB IBM DCAS, 1,2GB Quantum Fireball, HP7100i IDE Brenner, ASUS SC200, ASUS 3DP3000 (Riva 128) 1 Rechner mit (bitte nicht laut lachen, läuft als File-, Printer- und Internet Gateway): noname VL-Board ITS/Cyrix DX-2 66 (auf 80 übertaktet), 8MB 30-pol.Simm, Trident Graka. mit 256kB, VL-Controller (noname), 540 MB Quantum Maverik Alle Rechner laufen bisher ohne Absturz oder sonstige hänger, teilweise im Dauerbetrieb. Außer den üblichen Abstürzen unter dem M$ gedöhns laufen die Rechner ohne Probs. Als Kernel setze ich auf allen Systemen den Entwicklerkernel 2.1.132 ein. Dieser ist aus dem Suse 2.1.131 durch Patch entstanden. Warum ich den 2.1.132 einsetzte? Er besitzt ein paar Features, die ich nicht missen möchte. Außerdem Fehlte im vorkompilierten SUSE 2.1.131 die Funktion der Seriellen Schnittstellen, sodaß ich mir eh einen neuen Kernel backen mußte um meine Seriellen Mäuse in Betrieb zu nehmen. Also so wie es aussieht liegen die Probleme nicht unbedingt bei der Suse 6.0. Da ich ja doch nun eine ziemliche auswahl an Testmustern zur Verfügung habe und hatte. Außer ich habe eine ganz spezielle Version nur für mich bekommen, die fehlerfrei ist ;-) Ich habe auch mittlerweile mal die hier angesprochenen Problem Proggies installiert, und bisher kein Problem sowohl unter KDE, FVWM und der Konsole entdecken können. Ist zwar nicht sonderlich hilfreich, aber deine Frage bzgl. "gibt es eine SUSE 6 die stabil läuft " ist damit höffentlich erschöpfend beantwortet. Ich hätte das ganze auch kurz und knapp mit einem JA beantworten können.
