"Starting Service httpd: Syntax Error in httpd.conf failed" Steht doch da, du hast einen Fehler in der httpd.conf. Wahrscheinlich hat das PHP rpm dort etwas eingetragen was syntaktisch nicht korrekt ist. Suche dort mal nach den Einträgen für php und poste diese, sonst wird dir keiner helfen können (ich habe z.B. keine SuSE 7.0).
Ich hatte das selbe Problem seit dem Update auf 7.0. Bei mir war folgendes: die SSLEngine commands auf die aktuelle Variante umgestellt.
