Was sollte das bringen? Der Speicher, den die Prozesse belegen, ist nach wie vor belegt. Es sei denn, der Prozeß liegt komplett im Swap, aber dann schläft er ohnehin. Wenn der Swap voll ist, kann man nur entweder Swapspace hinzufügen oder Prozesse beenden, und letzteres passiert - das nächste Programm, das Speicher anfordert, kriegt ein "out of core" zurück, den es verarbeiten kann (in der Regel, indem es sich möglichst geordnet beendet).
Ok, da hast Du natürlich Recht, außer daß das geordnete Beenden bei mir (SuSE 6.4 Kernel 2.2.14) nicht funktioniert. :((
Außerdem: nach welchen Kriterien sollte die Auswahl dieser Prozesse passieren?
Das könnte man schon regeln. Es gibt ja auch Kriterien, nach dem festgelegt wird, was ausgelagert wird.
