Eintrag in /etc/inittab: mo:23:respawn:/usr/lib/fax/faxgetty /dev/modem #oder ttySx oder wo immer Dein Modem physikalisch dran pappt die Zeile die mgetty startet MUSS auskommentiert sein denn der kommt spaeter dran. 4.) telinit q sollte die inittab neu einlesen und schwupp der faxgetty laeft. Dann logs anschauen obs Fehler hagelt. und mailen 5.) Kopiere folgendes in Deine /etc/mgetty+sendfax/mgetty.config kansst Du am Schluss dranhaengen debug 9 port modem # init-chat "" \d\d\d+++\d\d\dATE0Q1&D2&C1S0=1\015 OK modem-type cls2.0 direct n toggle-dtr n 6. faxe fleissig; aber rechne nicht damit dass ppp zugang schon geht.
