ich habe Probleme mit den Updatefunktionen auf einem Gerät mit Suse15.4 jetzt 15.5. Die Initialisierung des Zielsystems und das Runterladen der Repodaten unter YAST ist auf einem System total langsam. Vom aktivieren "Online-Aktualisierung" bis die Auswahl der Pakete zu aktualisieren angezeigt wird, vergehen 15 bis 30 Minuten. Zunächst unter Suse 15.4. Ich hatte gedacht, vielleicht das System zu alt, habe auf Suse 15.5 upgedatet, was sehr zerrig verlief. Hat nach Stunden auch geklappt, allerdings sind Anpassungen durch Installation einzelner Pakete sehr zeitaufwendig. Manchmal kommen auch Meldungen "das Zeitlimit ist überschritten" oder so ähnlich, zypper überspringt dann das Repository. Ist irgendetwas bekannt, dass die Suseserver aktuell nicht gut erreichbar sind? Die Internetverbindung hier geht gut, updates gehen auch, aber eben extrem langsam. Auf einer anderen Suse 15.5-Installation im selben Büro geht das flüssig, zeitweise gab es Probleme mit den Suse:SLE- 15-SPx repositories. Die habe ich deaktiviert, danach ging es. Das hat auf dem betroffenen System nichts gebracht, die Konfiguration ist

Kann mir jemand einen Tip geben, wie ich den Fehler suchen kann?
1. Schritt: Zuerst wirfst du mal alle Repos die nicht von download.opensuse.org kommen aus dem Refresh
2. Schritt: Dann testet du (zypper ref -s) ob es wirklich an download.opensuse.org liegt. Wenn nicht, und davon gehe ich aus, kannst du nach und nach den übrigen Zoo wieder hinzufügen und schauen wer die Verzögerung reinbringt.
3. Schritt: Ergebnis bekannt geben. Im übrigen gibt es https://paste.opensuse.org wo solche Ausgaben perfekt aufgehoben sind. Schau mal rein ...
(Das wäre mein vorgehen.)

ich habe den ganzen Zoo mal entfernt, packman habe ich belassen, da ich Systempakete auf Versionen aus dem Packmanrepo umgestellt habe. Das jetzt wieder rückumzustellen mit einem updatetool, dass nicht richtig funktioniert, habe ich mir erst mal gespaart. Außerdem sehe ich daraus, dass das packmanrepo als einziges korrekt funktioniert?

Öffne die problematische URL mal mit dem Browser. Einmal mit download.opensuse.... und einmal mit der IP aus dem traceroute.
Hier klappt es im Browser mit < http://download.opensuse.org/update/leap/15.5/backports/repodata/repom d.xml>.
Aber nicht mit dem was dein Rechner daraus auflöst. < http://195.135.221.134/update/leap/15.5/backports/repodata/repomd.xml>
Hinter der Adresse 195.135.221.134 ist (hier) kein funktionsfähiger Mirror zu erreichen. Jetzt ist die Frage warum dein Rechner meint download.opensuse.org führe zu 195.135.221.134.
Prüfe mal die Bereiche Proxy, DNS (auch /etc/hosts).

ich habe das Problem unkonventionell gelöst. Zunächst habe ich in etc/hosts die IP aus der traceroute eingetragen - nichts Neues. Dann habe ich gedacht, ich vergleiche die hosts vom tuxedonotebook, wo es nicht funktioniert, mit der vom imac (habe ich kürzlich gebraucht gekauft und eine frische suse 15.5 installiert; dort funktioniert es tadellos) Das tuxedonotebook habe ich vor einigen Jahren gebraucht gekauft mit installiertem opensuse (ich weiss nicht mehr genau, welche version, muss so um die 42.3 oder 15.0 gewesen sein) und anschließend peu a peu auf eine neuere Version gebracht. Hat auch immer gut funktioniert. Bis kürzlich unter 15.4 das Updateverhalten sich gravierend verschlechtert hat. Die Dateien etc/hosts unterscheiden sich total upgedatetes 15.5 134.76.12.6 ftp.gwdg.de 195.135.221.134 download.opensuse.org 94.130.205.133 graphics.tuxedocomputers.com 94.130.205.133 oibaf.tuxedocomputers.com 94.130.205.133 rpm.tuxedocomputers.com 94.130.205.133 rpm-discrete.tuxedocomputers.com 94.130.205.133 rpm-hybrid.tuxedocomputers.com 94.130.205.133 kernel.tuxedocomputers.com 94.130.205.133 packages.tuxedocomputers.com in dieser Datei habe ich beim downloadopensusepfad am ende die 134 durch die 26 aus der traceroute ersetzt, ohne Verbesserung. bei dem frisch installierten 15.5 sieht dieselbe Datei folgendermaßen aus # # hosts This file describes a number of hostname-to-address # mappings for the TCP/IP subsystem. Auch das Packagekit funktioniert wieder flüssig. Was da im Hintergrund alles passiert, ist mir als user ziemlich verborgen, bin aber glücklich, dass es wieder läuft. Warum die hosts-Dateien sich bei einem upgedateten System und einem frisch installierten System so unterscheiden, weiß ich auch nicht.
