Das muß ich jetzt einfach mal beantworten: Ja, Ja, Ja, Ja! Ja! Bitte! Bitte! Bitte! Ja! Meine ganz persönliche Erfahrung: Was ich nicht als Binärdistribution für Suse downloaden kann, kriege ich zu etwa 90% nicht zum laufen. Nun bin ich kein DAU, habe beruflich mit den Sachen zu tun, aber ich habe es vor langer Zeit aufgegeben, mich an sowas "aus Prinzip" zu verbeißen. Wenn ich nach einer Stunde die Anrufbeantworter-Software nicht am laufen habe, gehe ich in den Laden und kaufe einen Anrufbeantworter für 29,90 DM. Ich bau da keine 5 Stunden dran rum. Verschiedene Linux-Distributionen versuchen seit einiger Zeit den Sprung auf den Desktop. Und das ist gut so. Dazu gehört nunmal ein veränderter Anwenderkreis, und außer MS können alle dabei gewinnen, wenn man sich austauscht. Ein Anwender, der einen Text schreibt, in dem aufgelistet ist, wie er sich Software wünscht, tut auch etwas für die Entwicklung. Programmierer tun sich nunmal häufig ziemlich schwer mit Usability (Aus eigener Erfahrung).
