[opensuse-translation] Translation for openSUSE 11.4
Hi all, does someone know what is the translation roadmap for openSUSE 11.4? In particular, I would like to know when strings can be considered stable enough to avoid nasty surprises as a result of merges or commitments. Translating 11.2 and 11.3 was a walk in the park - should easily be done by anyone in a month's time - assuming the previous release had already been more or less fully translated (if you start from scratch or so it's a different matter of course). But we'd also like a chance to have some real world testing of the translations. This would be my suggestion - I'm assuming the zypp and yast guys won't suddenly become hyperactive again like e.g. for 11.1. And I have no idea if it'd work for packagers and developers: Dec. 16: MS5 - Soft message freeze, bugfixes and typofixes allowed Jan. 20: MS6 - First localized build, hard message freeze Feb. 3: Translation deadline for RC1 Feb. 10: RC1 - Fully localized build Feb. 18: Translation freeze (minus release notes) Feb. 25: RC2 Mar. 2: Translation freeze for release notes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

So, in the end, when should we start to translate in order to minimize the effect of tons of "translation updates" as well as the effect of tons of new untranslated/fuzzy strings that destroy our work (as happened in the past and that is frustrating for at least me as translator)?
