[opensuse-translation] Chinese string in Greek file
Hello, I think someone else mentioned it too. The file update-desktop-files-kde.el.po has a Chinese string. I translate using Gtranslator and it has ID number 964 (also if it helps /usr/share/applications/kde4/kbd-layout-viewer.desktop:-1). Can you fix it please? Or do I have to copy>paste? I fear this has to be fixed in the upstream file (can someone please check whether /usr/share/applications/kde4/kbd-layout-viewer.desktop is fine?) and in your translation file (.po). Normally it is enough to fix it in the upstream file, but since last week I stopped pulling in upstream translations and thus overriding openSUSE translations. If the upstream file is fine, we (coolo and me and whoever feels inclined) must check our tools. -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

Today, there was a change of the file but still the Chinese is there. Yes, as said, you please must fix it. I just merged existing opensuse translations with an updated pot file; I did not pull in so-called upstream translations. Hello Karl, I don't know how to fix it. I have the po files only. I'm not familiar with it. I know how to download the po files, translate them and upload them back to server. Sorry for the trouble. If you send me some directions, I can give it a try. Thanks for your help. Yes, that's exactly what I want you to do in the first place ;) Then, if the problem appears again, please report it and I'll try to find the cause of the trouble. Can you please check with "svn log FILENAME" (instead of FILENAME use your po file), which check-ins happened before you detected the wrong "translations"? -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

Hi, some weeks ago I reported it as bug, but nobody answered: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=774371 The bad version of trunk/lcn/50-pot/update-desktop-files-kde.pot was made by Revision 77231 on Fri Aug 3 08:03:06 2012 UTC. Ok, I see. It's in the msgid. I guess they fixed it in the meantime. Is someone out there with a recent 12.2 RC installation who could check /usr/share/applications/kde4/kbd-layout-viewer.desktop ? -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

I've installed 12.2 RC2 and there is no file /usr/share/applications/kde4/kbd-layout-viewer.desktop Is it a part of standard KDE installation, or some specific package? Thanks.
