I'm currently working on zh_CN trunk translation of openSUSE 10.3 but noticed something strange on the Stastics page: http://i18n.opensuse.org/stats/trunk/index.php

Yesterday I translated hundersds of entries (both fuzzy & untranslated) and submitted them through svn. And today I noticed a dramatic drop of translated proportion. From 88% to 70%.

Comparing with that of yestoday, the total number increased by less than 100 because of a merge. It was 291xx yesterday. now 29159.

The fussy number keeps still-1100 yesterday, 1100 today.

The untranslated number increased significantly.

I doubt if it identifies all my work as untranslated though I have not carried out a manual calculation.

So I wonder if it is accurate or it is me who messed it up. Please have a check on the reason. If it is the latter one, please tell me and I'll check and fix.

As a general reminder, concerning validating update-desktop-files you are completely on your own. We cannot run "msgfmt" on those on the server side because they use the extended .po file format that the old gettext tools do not understand.

Maybe, you can add a something <blink>red</blink> to the team line of the main index page (http://i18n.opensuse.org/stats/trunk/index.php) if you detect a broken file? Blinking actually is not required ;)

Because one broken file is too small to be visible within all the other fine translations.

Good idea. I try to find any nice solution after we migrate to the new opensuse.org look. For all curious, the new look has http://news.opensuse.org/

This, of course, is not urgent. :-)
