you are correct, this is the same situation !

I tracked it at https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=656536 which is linked on openQA.o.o. I am not yet sure what causes this problem, but I know that LiveCDs create working RAID setups from the same input. I just need to find time to diff the results.
