I have experienced this issue and reported this as a bug several versions ago. There was nothing they could do. In my case the monitor could manage 1280x1024@75Hz. I think using 1280x1024 from the installation menu also applied 85Hz refresh, which soon after brought my monitor "Out of range". The workaround in such cases is to select one step down on the resolution menu, 1024x768 in this case, for the installation. Afterwards select the optimum resolution and refresh with SaX2, if not discovered or set automatically at the end of the installation/configuration. Rgds, Terje J. Hanssen
I'm doing an installation with ssh+nfs - on the boot menu, the resolution defaults to 1280x1024, which looks fine, but once the installation gets going, my monitor reports "out-of-range", and shows no picture. To get it to work I have to manually reduce resolution to 1024x768. I haven't reported this yet - it's not really important to me, but if anyone thinks this is important, I'll be happy to open a bugreport.
