latest zypper refreshes repo list
I just tried to look up some packages, as user. It failed because it wanted to refresh the repos, and of course didn't have write permission. Why this change? I've switched off autorefresh *on purpose*.

also on 20201213 and have autorefresh OFF and frequently refresh, but last file date on my repos is "Nov 24". something else must have changed. my autorefresh is switched OFF within each repo, may be the diff ??? -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode

No, mine was off, too. It did not happan again after that one refresh. So somehow it seemed the metadata files must have been corrupted? I checked they were there and readable, still zypper had insisted it needs to create them. Weird.
