Today my son's new Gigabyte Aorus motherboard, with AMD Ryzen 5900 CPU, arrived. Pushing Leap 15.2 on it was a no-brainer, except for the networking interface.

The board has a Realtek RTL8125, which is - I did some googling - not supported by the installed kernel (5.3).

In 5.9 it should be, I read (https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/540275-How-to-get-ethernet-worki ng-on-install-for-a-motherboard-using-Realtek-8125-2-5Gbps-chip; which discusses the situation with Tumbleweed).

Is it possible to get that kernel for Leap 15.2, and if so, where do I find that?

Or another kernel for Leap, which supports this chip? I see https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Sauerland:/hardware/openSUS E_Leap_15.2_Update/x86_64/r8125-kmp-default-9.004.01_k5.3.18_lp152.47-lp152. 3.4.x86_64.rpm Would that one be safe to install, and to get things working?

If not, I understand that I have to build my own kernel, something I've never done before.So I would think I run in some difficulties on that road.

Any advice appreciated!
