TW - Plasma6 / X11: cursor jumps while writing text
Hello, since Plasma6 on X11 I have an issue when writing text: All of a sudden the cursor jumps to a different location while writing. Text is somehwat broken afterwards. This happens only on X11, not on wayland. On X11, the systemsettings do not detect the touchpad (not found), while it is visible on wayland. Created already a bug for it: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=484753 My best guess is, that this is the reason for the jumping cursor: when the hand comes too close to the touchpad, it reacts different on X11 and wayland. Has anyone else this issue as well? Any ideas? Cheers Axel

I had same issue. Ensure You have *no* synaptic package, e.g. remove xf86- input-synaptics and ensure You have xf86-input-libinput installed. -- Vojtěch Zeisek https://trapa.cz/ Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux https://www.opensuse.org/

I do not know if related, but I have in the very same time frame in X a "migrating" cursor. It just begins to slowly move down the monitor, just by a "ghost hand". Quite creepy LOL, could be related to what you are experiencing. Check also if cursor acceleration is off. My ghost went on holiday once I deactivated it.

That fixed it, thank you! Axel
