Hello Team,
I am trying to add my opensuse.org e-mail address as an alias in GMAIL. However it asks me to put the SMTP server address of opensuse + port number + password.
I am unable to find any help at Google hence the question. Pls suggest how to proceed.
You are trying to set it as a mail account, but it is an alias to your previously existing mail. So, suppose you have your email "s....@gmail.com", and suppose you told the openSUSE guys to point your opensuse alias to it, and let's assume it is "a.....@opensuse.org" That's the first step. Then, you tell Gmail to accept sending email from FROM: a.....@opensuse.org which is what Luiz explained. Then you have to configure your mail client to send email as "a.....@opensuse.org". For example, I use Thunderbird and postfix. Receiving is easy, you get it directly on your "s....@gmail.com" account. The difficulty is differentiating it. There is no clear header for it, IIRC. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
