Looks awful. I have only seen such behaviour in Java.
I never configured anythjing explicitly, it is default Xfce installation without any customization.
Have you any Qt applications to check? ``` ftview -l 3 16 /usr/share/fonts/truetype/DejaVuSansMono.ttf ``` Does this looks like color mess too? Try your font size/file (I'm not sure I've selected right ones). What this `xrdb -q | grep Xft` shows? Do you have any `~/.fonts.conf*` files/dirs?
Interesting that I do not see the same effect in TW, so it could be something specific to Leap (may be some other libraries that do not work correctly with new libfreetype6).
