Using yast means you have to edit them every year, as compared to one per lifetime in CLI - as long as you never edit them in YaST.
But new repositories will be wrong.
What on earth are you talking about? Once a repo has $releasever in it instead of the version number, it never needs to be edited again. It does not matter how that edit is done. I have no idea what you mean by new repositories being wrong. If they are wrong, then whoever added them to the system made a mistake.
