There are several reasons I may become concerned if a repo file has been changed. I manage mine with MC and FCL, and don't want anything messing with them.
What could possibly change a repo file?
It happens, such as when the mirrors are fubar, and zypper decides to disable a repo it can't update, or 4 additional repos get added that duplicate existing repos with less stupid names than repo-....repo.
Just how often do either of these happen? I have never seen either of them. Besides, if your repos go pear-shaped, Yast is your friend.
