Please, you started a printer thread a week or two ago, respond on that thread. This one is ONLY on kwallet.
The epson-inkjet-printer-escpr directory Doug posted above is what gets installed with that package, and that file is what YaST/Printer should see but Doug claims it does not.
Huh, no, that rpm installs 535 files.
I'm guessing that YaST doesn't see the printer machine, not the printer driver, which is often due to firewalls. Just point YaST to the IP address of the printer.
That's right, the package installs all those epson-provided driver files to the directory above.
IIRC Doug indicated before that YaST saw the machine but not the driver, and another time, saw it with a wrong driver. He apparently is using the scanner though; can an AIO be seen as a scanner but not as a printer? As you may observe from my latest messages, the Epson printer is now working, but the scanner is not, and has not. I need it to work, of course. (It works on an old PCLOS laptop.) And I need the HP LaserJet to work also, but one thing at a time. --doug
Certainly.
Basically, you have several different machines that happen to have the same USB cable or the same Ethernet cable. Same address, different port. And each "sub-machine" obeys to different protocol, different daemon, different driver, different YaST module...
